Ruth Sauerbreit

Self taught artist, Ruth Sauerbreit, who resides in Mackay, Idaho presents 2008 Lilac Festival's poster art work. Ruth, considers "painting and drawing a very emotional sensitive experience," and holds the philosophy that "drawing is the basis of all the visual arts." Whether it is the region of Southeastern Idaho or various places around the country that she has lived and visited, it has been said that Ruth's work is "very direct, sometimes spontaneous, expressive, gutsy and free, and most always observing" of everyday life.
